Default By what time must tenant vacate on last day?

Hi guys, my landlord has texted to say she will be here mid afternoon on last day of my tenancy for final inspection and to get keys. I was bit suprised she's not letting us have all day ? I could just post the keys through letterbox. She's already done an inspection anyway so if i dont do all the things on list that need to be done she could just keep deposit anyway - i thought that was the whole point ?

whats the legal time we must vacate by ?

    thanks in advance

In the absence of anything in the tenancy agreement, the tenancy lasts and you are therefore entitled to possession up to midnight on the last day.

I agree. This is also why Notice periods run to 'after [date]', i.e. they include all of the final day and operate only once it's ended.
